Upgrading BlueWhaleMail software

Read this if you already have BlueWhaleMail software installed on your phone and want to upgrade it.

Before you try to install a newer version of the BlueWhaleMail software, you need to shut down BlueWhaleMail, if it is running. You can do this by selecting Exit from the Menu in BlueWhaleMail. If you try to upgrade without exiting BlueWhaleMail your phone may fail on installation without any useful message.

During an upgrade you may be asked whether you would like to keep existing data. With each new version we try to make sure that upgrades go as smoothly as possible. We understand that the data you entered in your BlueWhaleMail software is important to you and you do no wish to lose it. Therefore, we recommend you chose to keep your existing data. However, sometimes despite our best efforts your old data will not be compatible with the new version and the installation will fail. In those cases, please try to upgrade again and select No to keeping your data.
