Read this if you try to use BlueWhaleMail on Sony Ericsson W950i (or similar) phone and it reports that there was a problem with your APN or a problem making a connection to the internet.
In order to be able to use the application, you need to check that your internet settings are set correctly. To do this you need:
1. APN set up for your Network Operator to allow GPRS access
2. Point BlueWhaleMail application to use the right APN
Adding APN settings
Your phone might already have GPRS connectivity setup, but if it doesn't you can easily add it.
1. From the main menu go to "Settings" -> "Control Panel"
2. "Connections" -> "Internet Accounts"
3. Select "More" -> "New Account" -> "Data"
4. On the next screen, enter new data settings. If you don't know what information you should enter, please see the forum: What settings do I need for my network operator?
5. When prompted to add this account to a group account, select "Yes" and select "Internet"
6. The account you added should now be available in the list of accounts
Configuring BlueWhaleMail application to use correct APN settings
Once you have correct APN account added to your phone, you need to configure BlueWhaleMail application to use this account.
1. From the main menu -> "Tools" -> "Control Panel"
2. "Security" -> "Midlet Accounts"
3. Select BlueWhaleMail and scroll down to "Internet Accounts"
4. Select the correct internet account. If you added APN setting yourself, you should select the account you created.
