Read this if you want to learn about security implications of using BlueWhaleMail software.
Safety and security are important issues for anything to do with your email or your mobile phone. We respect that and want to give you as much information as we can to help you make an informed decision. If there's an issue we haven't addressed, please post a reply to this forum topic.
- Personal information like your phone number and email address.
You may tell us your mobile phone number (so we can send you a download link via Text Message) and you will need to tell us your email address. We want you to know that we won't use these to spam you, and we won't sell them to others. For more detail, please take the time to read our Privacy Policy - we've done our best to make it clear and free of legal jargon.
- Will it break my phone, or stop it from working?
We have done our best to test against many of the most popular handsets. We can't test against every possible phone out there, but we are certain that BlueWhaleMail is no more dangerous to your phone than any of the other Java MIDlet games and other applications you can download to your phone.
- Will it expose my phone to viruses?
BlueWhaleMail doesn't try to start or run any of the content inside the emails it downloads. In that respect it should be much safer than reading your email on a desktop PC.
