Trouble with GoogleMail settings on LG Viewty?

Hi, I download BWM to my LG Viewty and tied to sign up my GoogleMail address using the details automatically provided to me:

imap.gmail.com

Out

smtp.gmail.com

and all I get is:

"There was a problem: We connected to the server, but it did not begin a secure connection. Are you sure the server name and port are correct and that the server is correctly configured for secure access?"

Any ideas what might be happening?

I'm afraid the setting look right -- I think instead this is an LG Viewty issue which you're running into during the first sign-on.

We've had a lot of problems with the Java implementation on LG phones, which we find to be rather poor.

Sorry we can't do a better job with this phone.
