Hi Richard,
thanks for your help.
I've followed the 3 steps you posted and I'm stuck on the last step. I believe my APN must be a WAP APN instead of an Internet APN.
I'm not sure how to change this, and I'm also not sure that I can? This seems to be related to the way I'm connecting to the Internet which is by using "dial-up" instead of GPRS...

All right, following on from my SE K800i, I tried the same sim card on my other phone LG Prada.
Firstly, I wasn't able to download and install the software, so I had to get it from a PC and then transfer onto the phone.
Secondly, similarly to my K800i, I couldn't connect on the LG Prada! I tried to connect using a browser first and see if I can navigate to the software but it wouldn't allow me to do so without disconnecting from the Internet first...
I was asked whether to allow BWM access to the Internet, which I clicked "yes" but it doesn't seem to be connecting using dial-up/WAP/GSM (not sure what is the correct term).
My next step is to try on both these phones again but using a different sim card which allows me to access the Internet using APN/GPRS (or whatever the correct term is)...

It fails the "connection check" at which point I'm already connected...the error message is that BlueWhaleMail can't connect to the Internet.
It asks me to try again with a different "access point".
How/where do I choose my "access point"? I want to make sure it's connecting via my dial-up WAP (or whatever the correct term for it is...).
Thanks...

Hi I did actually reply a few days ago but not sure if my reply has been lost?
I can't connect to the internet using BlueWhaleMail even though I can normally connect for browsing.
I'll try again using another phone and see if that'd work...

Hello,
I'm trying to use K800i to access BlueWhaleMail.
My question is, will I still be able to use it to connect if I'm using a dial-up WAP connection instead of an access-point GPRS?
My tarriff is really old and it only allows me to access the internet from my phone using the dial-up method.
Otherwise, I've got another phone and number to try using GPRS...
Thanks,
Fiona
