Thanks for the reply Mike.
After carefully re-reading the instructions, I confess that the instructions were actually correct and that I just misinterpreted them (sorry).
I got through the set up process, however, the download failed with an "Operation failed" message. Do you have any ideas as to what might be going wrong?
Thanks
Ian

Hi,
I have tried that and I am pretty sure the settings are right. The problem is I can access email on my phone when I created a generic email box but cannot do so over Bluewhale with the same settings. Don't know why.
Again, I have tried the Java applet, but it stops after saying "Bluewhale Can't connect to the internet...." although my system is connected in realtime. Attached is the screenshot of the same.

Hi,
I have downloaded the bluewhalemail and using it for my gmail account.
The issue is whenever I start it, it will go to my inbox. Two things I need to ask,
1) How can I add my yahoo account here. So that I can have two accounts.
2) Is there any way to select the net connection everytime it will connect. As Sometimes I want to use Wi-Fi connection and sometimes I want GPRS connection.
Can I select it at the time of connection?
Regards,
Anoop.

I received my link via SMS and clicked on the link which takes me to the download link but when I click on "start download now" it doesn't take me anywhere.
Is this because it's not compatible with the LG Voyager.

Hi Thanks for the reply, The LED is not very important and not all phones have it, the alert sound would be very helpful, mainly for women who carry their phone in a bag and wouldn't feel the vibrate alert.
Thanks again
look forward to trying new versions.
Regards
Carl

Does BlueWhaleMail need a permanent connection to the server?

This is great piece of software guys and very impressive on its first release.
Im using a Nokia E61i and have tried almost all the push emails out there and this ranks near the very top.
There are improvements that need to be made and im sure they will be resolved over the new releases.
Is there any way you guys can optimise the code so more free ram is available to the phone??
This has been done in other email software and im wondering is this on your to-do list??

Is it possible to have the application open when a new email is received or at least a notification advising a new message has been received?
Cheers

Hmmmm looked very interesting but Fire Fox / Vista get broken every time I set the Phone to HTC and press download.
So will leave it alone for now until you fix this minor irritation.
